South Waikato District Rural Wireless Waotu and Wiltsdown

Services offline due to a Chorus fibre cut (which links our repeaters) in the area. Updates to come once available from Chorus.

  • There is an issue with the Chorus fibre connection between Hamilton and Putaruru. Chorus team are still doing their investigation to find the fault.

  • Chorus have a technician working on this fault this morning and advise resolution expected by end of day. If we hear anything else, we will update again.

  • At this stage, a Chorus fibre service failure should be resolved by midday tomorrow (12 p.m. Friday). We're still seeking further details from Chorus.

    Western Bay Of Plenty District Rural Wireless Minden / Te Puna

    Services offline due to prolonged power outage. We're keeping an eye on Powerco updates.

  • Services restored briefly yesterday afternoon but we believe a street fuse at our Minden repeater site has tripped and have lodged a job with the power company.

    Powerco are doing some maintenance affecting one of our sites.

  • Services restored.

  • Powerco was expected to have restored services by now, but it is now reporting an unplanned outage for our facility in Tauranga, which linked through to Ohauiti and Crawford Road. We'll continue to monitor.

  • We expect services to restore soon.
