Rotorua Lakes District Rural Wireless Rotorua Fault

Observing a major fault with our Rotorua system. We've got a technician en route to investigate.

  • Service restored - reset circuit breaker at fibre site. An investigation is ongoing into the root cause, as we're very keen to see this permanently fixed.

  • Ngakuru / Horohoro / Waikite services are restoring now. Highlands & Tarawera are still work in progress.

  • Next update expected by 12pm.

    Western Bay Of Plenty District Rural Wireless Ohauiti / Crawford Road

    We're investigating an outage affecting these areas.

  • Service restored.

  • Service is expected to be restored by 1pm. Downer are doing work in the tower cabinet and for health & safety reasons, all equipment was required to be shut down. We weren't notified in advance - we have raised this as an issue with the rural tower operator.

  • A technician is en route to Ohauiti tower to investigate the fault.

    Heavy Weather Alert Heavy Rain Warning - Orange

    Metservice has issued a Heavy Rain Warning. Area: Bay of Plenty about and west of Whakatane. Forecast: Expect 60 to 90 mm of rain. Peak rates of 15 to 25 mm/h. Heavy rain can cause rain fade (and consequent performance issues) on our wireless network.
